Boucle upholstery had its moment, and now the texture is appearing in rugs. Pottery Barn's Wool Jute Boucle is one of the better executions: the chunky, looped surface adds tactile interest to otherwise simple rooms without overwhelming them.
It's a statement without being a shout, which is exactly what well-designed rugs should be.
